30 Days To Go…

With 30 days to go you can be in one of two positions – all reservations sorted (if you’re staying on-site) or time to book fastpasses (if you’re staying off-site). This blog post is going to take a look at things from the perspective that you’re staying on-site. If you’d like some information on booking fastpasses check out my 60 Day’s To Go post here.

30 days to go is a nice time in Disney planning. You’ve past the stress of booking your important reservations, haven’t quite reached the panic of “ahhhh I’m going to Disney and I do not feel prepared for the magic” and you’re pretty much just excited to get out to Orlando. However, there is one thing you need to do get sorted before you go.

So technically this needs to be done slightly before 30 days (in some cases) if you’re staying on-site and from outside of America – customise your magic bands. One of the perks to staying on-site is that you receive a free magicband to act as your room key & park ticket amongst other things. By customise I mean you get to select a colour from: grey, purple, red, orange, yellow, green, blue or pink. If you don’t choose one in time you will be allocated a grey band. You need to customise your magicbands a month before your arrival date, so if you arrive the 4th September you will need to select your colour by 4th August.

You can customise your magicbands by heading to the My Disney Experience section of the website and selecting Personalise Your MagicBand.

Next you will see a screen that tells you all the information about your current Magicbands, including when they need to be customised by.

If you select the arrow on the far right this will take you to the page where you can customise the magicband that is linked to your account. Alongside selecting a colour you can add a name/nickname (up to 9 characters) which will be printed on the inside of your magicband. Once you’ve saved your selection, a picture of the magicband in the colour you selected should appear next to your name. This is easily updated following the same steps should you change your mind about the colour.

Once you’ve selected your magicband that’s all the Disney aspects sorted. You can turn your attention to outfit planning, packing, sorting out your ESTAs and just getting excited to head out to Orlando! Have you selected your MagicBand recently? What colour did you go for?
